Fraternities and Sororities?

So, I've been hearing about this fever of joining a fraternity/sorority from my transfer peeps. As far as I know, being in a fraternity/sorority is basically a contemporary excuse to have greek practices. So I thought I should shed some light on what is it like to be greek with an anecdote that a friend of mine shared with me. ;D
